Within a short time of my arrival our largest 'herd' of Whooper Swans recorded for the Erewash Meadows, flew in from a southerly direction & landed next to the local shooting club land. Shortly after the seasons first Jack Snipe, followed by a skein of 'Pinkies' heading west.
Meanwhile, there appears to be 3 Stonechats that look set to winter, with the others now moved on.
