Perfect for naturally inquisitive children

Our monthly Watch Groups are aimed at families with children aged around 5-12 years old, where you will learn about wildlife through fun activities and outings.

Watch Groups are open to everyone so you don't need to be a member, contact the Watch Group leader to find out more.

Matlock Bath

Come along for some wild fun at the Whistlestop Watch Group based in Matlock Bath. A mix of outdoor activities around central and north-east Derbyshire and indoor sessions at the Whistlestop Discovery Centre on Matlock Bath railway station.

Happening on the second Sunday of each month from 10am - 12pm. 

Each month there will be a different exciting wildlife theme.

Each session is aimed at children aged 5 years and above, and they must be accompanied by an adult.

Cost is £2.50 per child and 50p for any additional siblings.

You can also become a Wildlife Watch Member. When you join you get a pack with badges, stickers and a pocket guide. You'll also get regular magazines full of wildlife stories, craft activities for you to try and lots more. There are also lots of fantastic online resources for you to download and get involved with.
