I have at least one water vole in the stream running through our garden. There are several burrows both above and below the waterline. Recently I watched a stoat investigate the burrows but it left empty handed. I've got some video footage of the vole and a very short clip of the stoat captured on my camera trap as well as a few photographs. I've left the edges of the stream unmowed about a metre around to provide cover. There are two latrines I can see but its difficult to see if the droppings are trampled.
