A sunny morning, cold with a heavy frost. The first bird seen on entering the reserve was a Great White Egret, only the second sighting for the year. Other notable sightings were Green Sandpiper, Shelduck and 2 Kingfishers. Wildfowl numbers continuing to increase with the first Goldeneye of the winter, and new reserve maxima of 19 Grey Heron and 14 Moorhen,
