Exhibition Lynn Hazel - British Wildlife Sculptor
About the event
Come down to Aqueduct Cottage, to see the work of two brilliant local artists.
Artist Introduction:
Hello, I'm Lynn Hazel ~ I'm a British Wildlife Sculptor working in stoneware clay.
I've had a deep fascination and love of the natural world since I was knee-high to a grasshopper.
I consider myself fortunate to be in a position where I can study and sculpt the animals I absolutely love. I have hands-on experience working with wildlife too, from overwintering Hedgehogs, saving Toads from roads during migration, to trapping and vaccinating Badgers for Derbyshire BEVs/Derbyshire Wildlife Trust.
As well as exhibiting my sculptures at shows, I've also worked on countless commissions, the most memorable one was a Lapwing, presented to Dr Arthur Edward Smith CBE MA by his lifelong friend Sir David Attenborough. Other past clients have been TV presenter, writer and naturalist Bill Oddie OBE and Artist Pollyanna Pickering.
