Both sun and drizzle were to be felt this morning but a pleasant one overall, due to the SW wind and the resultant unseasonable temperature of 13C. Significant numbers of waterfowl are still present, the most notable sightings being eight male & three female Goldeneye and a single male Goosander.
Counts for the day were Tufted Duck 77, Mallard 24, Gadwall 4, Teal 15, Wigeon 12, Pochard 30, Shoveller 7, Goldeneye 11, Coot 63, Moorhen 2, Great Crested Grebe 2, Grey Heron 9, Cormorant 17, Canada Goose 19, Mute Swan 6, Black-headed Gull 115, Common Gull 3, Lapwing 50, Redwing 11, Fieldfare 1, Bullfinch M+F, plus small numbers of Blue Tit, Great Tit, LT Tit, Magpie & Carrion Crow. A single Cetti was heard.
