DRAKELOW NATURE RESERVE: Wednesday 12th February 2010. FLOOD POOL: As expected there has been a slight increase in the depth of water to be negotiated. Although storm Ciara brought a few small trees down on the reserve’s Causeway there is nothing to inhibit visits other than the flood pool. However, be aware that a small tree has come down in the wood to the left of the service road, some two hundred yards in from the gate, and juts about a yard into the carriageway. The only bird of note was the Long-tailed Duck that is now back on the ML. Three Buzzards were logged as were two Woodcocks and two Oystercatchers. With thanks to AG.
