Our finances
Your money is making a difference to Derbyshire
We are very grateful for support from our members and donors. This support accounts for over a third of our income and is vital to our efforts to secure nature’s recovery.
Grants for particular projects account for the majority of our income. They are received from local authorities, statutory agencies and governments through rural development programmes. Landfill Community Funds have also provided vital support for land improvement and community engagement.
The support of key lottery operators and distributors such as the Heritage Lottery Fund is greatly appreciated and has enabled some of our largest projects such as DerwentWISE and Playwild.

Our national contribution
Each Wildlife Trust pays The Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT) a small annual contribution of 2% of the Trust's overall income. This means that The Wildlife Trusts UK office is supported by us all. We do this because just as we are a local charity, belonging to Derbyshire, it is equally important that the central charity (RSWT) is fully owned and working directly for all 47 Wildlife Trusts.

The Wildlife Trusts believe that people are part of nature; everything we value ultimately comes from it and everything we do impacts upon it.
