Matlock Bath

Matlock Bath

Come along for wild fun at the Whistlestop Watch Group in Matlock Bath.

A mix of outdoor activities around central and north-east Derbyshire and indoor sessions at the Whistlestop Discovery Centre on Matlock Bath railway station.

Happening on the second Sunday of each month from 10 am - 12 pm. 

Each month, there will be a different exciting wildlife theme.

Each session is aimed at children aged 5 and above, who must be accompanied by an adult.

The cost is £2.50 per child and 50p for any additional siblings.

You can also become a Wildlife Watch Member. When you join, you get a pack with badges, stickers and a pocket guide. You'll also get regular magazines full of wildlife stories, craft activities to try and lots more. There are also many fantastic online resources for you to download and get involved with.

Rosliston

Rosliston Wildlife Watch Group is run by South Derbyshire District Council in partnership with Derbyshire Wildlife Trust.

We usually meet on Tuesdays during school holidays at Rosliston Forestry Centre 2pm - 4pm. Please note, we don’t meet every Tuesday and occasionally we run wildlife events for families on other days/ times too.

Activities are aimed at children and young people up to 14 years old and include minibeast safaris, nature walks, and pond dipping.  Children must be supervised by an Adult.

Costs vary from FREE (Science Discovery Fun Days) to £6 per child per session. Costs are always included in publicity so you can check before coming.
