Woodland Bird Survey

You're our eyes and ears!

Thank you for taking the time to volunteer with us to record our wonderful woodland birds. You really are our eyes and ears on the ground, helping to build important records of woodland bird species that call Derbyshire's Lower Derwent Valley home.

Below is everything you need, all the forms, health and safety information, site maps and also a section where you can upload your findings. Have fun and we can't wait to hear about what you found!

How do I get started?

Here is everything you need. First of all print off the recording form below as well as the site survey form. Then take a look at our survey protocol and importantly the risk assessment, then grab your binoculars (and camera!) and off you go!
